Wander González · Barcelona — Madrid

I build AI agents for real business processes.

Freelance full-stack engineer. Eight years building enterprise software. Working with small and mid-sized companies that want to automate the tedious parts of their day-to-day — properly, not as a demo.

About

I am a software engineer based in Madrid. For the last eight years I have worked as a consulting developer, rotating between client teams, codebases and environments across healthcare, aviation, commerce and manufacturing. Different stacks, different people, different rhythms — same job: turning a business problem into software that holds up.

Most of my career has been about translating fuzzy business needs into systems that hold up over years of use. That part of the craft does not appear in a tutorial. It is what I lean on most when I now design AI agents that actually plug into the messy reality of a company.

I am moving towards freelance full-time. Generalist by necessity, full-stack by training, increasingly focused on AI agents and process automation. Comfortable owning a problem end-to-end.

What I build

Six families of systems I keep building, in different industries. Each starts with the same conversation: what is slow today, what would change if it were not?

  1. Intelligent document processing

Extraction, classification and assisted drafting over the documents your business already produces. Invoices, contracts, technical reports, forms — turned into structured data and ready-to-send outputs.

  2. Analytics & report generation

Pipelines that take raw data — exports, spreadsheets, database dumps — and produce the report someone in your team is currently doing by hand once a week.

  3. Process traceability & audit

Tracking systems, structured logs and dashboards so nothing gets lost between stages. Useful when compliance, quality or simply finding out what happened becomes a daily pain.

  4. Machine & system integration

Connectors and synchronisation layers between the software you already have, the software you are buying, and the equipment on the shop floor. ETL when it has to be small and reliable instead of big and brittle.

  5. AI agents for business processes

Conversational and autonomous agents that orchestrate steps over your existing systems: read, decide, act, ask for confirmation when the action matters. Designed around tool calling, not free-form text generation.

  6. Mobile apps & internal portals

Native-feeling mobile apps and internal web tools for teams that work outside the office. Field operations, sales reps, technicians, warehouses. The unglamorous software that runs the business.

Selected work

Conversational AI · ERP

An AI assistant that lets a sales team talk to their ERP

Telegram bot that gives ~50 sales technicians a natural-language interface to the company ERP. Built around Claude with tool calling: the model decides which tools to invoke against the ERP, the bot executes them, and the technician gets answers in seconds instead of navigating six screens.
